Circularity baseline
Map current practices, material flows and product destinations within an agreed boundary.
CIRAID · Software in development
CIRAID will first assess your organization’s current circularity. Its engineering diagnosis will then connect improvement opportunities to process changes, technical requirements, necessary tests and estimated benefits. The software is at the concept and industrial validation preparation stage.
Planned functions will connect company data to technical knowledge, with visible assumptions and limitations.
Map current practices, material flows and product destinations within an agreed boundary.
Identify what prevents materials and products from staying in use.
Examine process changes, technical requirements and tests before implementation.
Compare technical, economic and environmental effects where the available data permits.
Present options with estimated costs and benefits, explicit assumptions and points to verify.
Reassess circularity and compare observed results with the initial baseline.
Planned deliverables will distinguish established findings, estimates and opportunities that need verification.
A documented starting point for your organization.
The engineering reasoning behind each option.
Next actions guided by potential and feasibility.
The first version will combine organizational assessment with detailed analysis of three to five interventions in one process or material family. Results will be compared with an expert assessment; where conditions permit, at least one improvement will be tested with a pilot business.
The methodology will be reviewed during development. Circularity tools already exist; CIRAID’s intended differentiation is the verifiable connection between diagnosis, feasibility conditions and implementation. Its value remains to be demonstrated through the pilot.
Material flow analysis and circularity indicators, with references such as ISO 59020 where relevant. No certification is claimed.
Rules based on technical publications, industrial cases and expert review, retaining their sources and limits.
Engineering and techno-economic calculations using confirmed inputs and explicit assumptions.
AI may assist document reading, follow-up questions and explanations. Reviewed rules and traceable calculations will govern recommendations.
Missing data and applicability limits will be reported. Uncertain cases will require expert input or an additional test.
For production offcuts, examine composition, contamination, equipment and quality requirements before proposing reuse or recycling. Unknown composition first requires characterization.
Let’s discuss a concrete case
We are seeking discussions with Québec manufacturing SMEs about their needs, available data and an initial use case. Pilot scope, responsibilities and validation criteria will be agreed together.
